Implementing a Judgment of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, also upheld by the Supreme Court of India the state Government today cleared promotion of 38 Deputy Superintendents of Police to rank of Superintendent of Police with retrospective effect from 2002. The promotees are from the 1979 batch of Sub Inspectors. According to Government Order Number Home -597 (P) of 2008 issued today, 38 DySPs (Selection Grade) have been to promoted to the post of Superintendents of Police with effect from March 1, 2002 in the pay scale of Rs 10000-15200. It has been further ordered that promotion of such SPs who have been promoted on regular basis beyond March 1, 2002 and have now become junior will not get disturbed but their inter-se seniority with other SPs shall be determined under rules. Those DySPs who have been have been promoted include SDPO Bakshi Nagar Ropinder Kumar Chalotra, Mahadeep Singh, Dev Raj, JB Singh, Ram Rattan, Sham Sunder Sharma, Varinder Kumar, Kailash Chander, Ghulam Nabi Pathan, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Andrabi, Khalid Muzaffar, Abdul Rashid, Javed Iqbal Farooqi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Shah Din, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, Gh Mohd Wadoo, Fareed Ahmed, Mohd Yousuf, Farooq Ahmad Kirmani, Ghulam Jeelani Dar, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Mohd Amin Bulbul, Abdul Majid Rather, Abdul Rashid Lone, Saif-ud-Din Shah, Ghulam Jeelani Baba, Abdul Hamid, Gh Hyder Badana (ST), Pijiray Lal Bhat, Sohan Lal Koul, Abdul Hatj Bhat, Gh Hassan Shah, Mir Mohd Choudhary, Des Raj Bhagat, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Mohd Shafi and Punchok Wangohok. Home department implemented the Judgement of J&K High Court and Apex Court regarding reflection of seniority in respect of Sub-Inspectors of 1979 batch and Grant of consequential benefits. |
