Various institutes celebrates Teacher’s day

A number of activities were organized by the MIER group of institutions to commemorate the teachers day. Programmes were organized at its various campuses in which the students and staff from the school, the college of education and the college of engineering took part. Present in various functions were Director Dr. Renu Gupta, Joint Directors Dr. Adit Gupta and Ankur Gupta and Principal Rupa Gupta .
Dr Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER group of Institutions in his address called upon the teachers to take up the challenge of social reconstruction and moral upliftment of the student community more vigorously keeping in view the intangible losses suffered by them in the recent past. He urged upon them to contribute to the development of emancipated human capital capable of finer discrimination and internalization of the right and wrong. He also exhorted them to have introspection and present an adequate role model of academic, professional and human excellence before the students. Dr. Gupta stressed the need for making up for the educational losses by devising innovative methods and carrying out extended educational activities through extra time devotions.
All the faculty members took a pledge on the teachers’ day to rededicate themselves to the cause of education. They will look after the multifaceted development, welfare and studies of students and would remain loyal and faithful to the institution as well as the nation”.
Students of the different wings spoke on the importance and relevance of celebrating Teachers Day in present conditions. The presented group songs and presented Cards and bouquets to their teachers. Project work done by the students during summer vacation was also displayed which was greatly appreciated by the audience.
NEW Era Mother High School too celebrated this day by organizing colorful cultural programmes, besides the sports and games were also displayed by the students. Pupil teachers have come with new spirit and demonstrated their skills in the class room teaching. Many students threw light on the importance of this day by presenting the glimpses on the life of great teacher and scholar Dr. S. Radha Krishanan. Principal of the school on this occasion gave thought provoking speech.
Army School, Akhnoor celebrated Teachers day with great enthusiasm and fervor.
Various cultural programmes were presented by students on this occasion. Principal of the school, KCS Mehta who was the chief guest on the occasion threw light on the life of Dr. Radkrishnan and laid emphasis on inculacating the ethical and moral values in their own life.
Women Wing of Jammu Peoples Front on this day went to the SOS Children home and celebrated the occasion with the children there. The women of Jammu People Front highlighted the need and importance of the teachers in the life of the students and also the need to respect the teachers. The food and sweet was also distributed among the students. Those who present on the occasion included Mona Saraf, Neeta Mehta, Shilpi Malhotra , Sapna Malhotra and Jaideep Kour.
Teacher’s day was also celebrated at Arya Kanya Vidyalya Purani Mandi Jammu.
Priya sethi corporator, JMC was the chief guest on the ocasssion while Yudhvir sethi was the guest of honor on the occasion .Principal of the school, ML Abrol in his address said that let us pledge on this day to eradicate our service for the community.

SPMR Commerce College celebrated the day by organizing a symposium on the topic Haelthy Teacher Taught Relationship Towards Excellence in Higher Education “ today Glowing tributes were paid to Dr. S. Radha Krishnan , the great philosopher , educationist and the first vice president of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College, Dr. Sham Lal Gupta exhorted the teachers to reknew their commitment to this self profession on this auspicious day and take a pledge to act as a friend and guide to students in their all round development which alone can bring a meaningful change in the society.
Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Assosciation on this auspicious day paid tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan on his 120th birthday.
JURSEA members on this occasion presented trophy to vice chancellor Prof. Amitabh Matoo with bouqet of flowers, greeting card and also offered sweets . Besides Amitabh Matoo, Prof. GS Sanbyal, Prof. Desh Bandhu, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam , Prof. BPS Sehgal , Prof. Keshav Sharma, Prof. Lokesh Verma and Prof. Rajeev Gupta were also honored on the occasion.
Vikas Sharma President JURSEA on this occasion said that this day remind us of the specific contribution of Dr. S. Radha Krishnan in the field of education who was not only a philosopher and a great humanist but also a great educationist.
Akhil Bhartiya Vidayarthi Parishad celebrated this day in its own traditional mammer in Jammu University and city colleges. In University ABVP activists congratulated the vice chancellor Amitabh Mattoo .
