| VC JDA ask to break dead lock with striking employees | | | Jammu, Sept 08: State BJP General Secretary and former legislator, Bali Bhagat, today strongly urged the Vice-Chairman of the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) to discuss threadbare the grievances of the striking employees so that the issue is amicably resolved and work in the office resumed without losing a single moment. He said the personal intervention of the Vice-Chairman and other senior officials in the JDA and dialogue with the striking employees has become absolutely necessary in order to break the deadlock and help people get their urgent work done. He said the employees went on strik five days ago in support of their demand and that they have today threatened to go on hunger-strike. This, if happened, would not be in the interest of the JDA and the general public, asserted Bali Bhagat. Bali Bhagat said the ongoing strike has caused inconvenience to the general public, especially those who want to construct house and business houses after obtaining no objection certificates from the JDA, certificate which the Municipal Corporation need for approving the building plans. He also appealed to the striking employees to take note of the problems being faced by the general public and hold negotiations with the JDA authorities in order to end the impasse. Negotiations, he said, is the best way to resolve issues. |
