| JU to hold BPEd, MPEd exams from Monday | | | Early Times Reporter

Department of Physical, University of Jammu (JU) is conducting the final examinations of Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) course for 2007-08 batch from September eight.
As per the revised date sheet, 31 students are to appear for the examinations to be conducted in three different subjects by the Department of Physical Education, here.
“In fact, the same examinations were scheduled for first week of July, but due to agitation and Jammu bandh, the date sheet has been revised,” Deputy Registrar (Exams), JU told SAN.
On September eight, paper III in the subject `Anatomy, Physiology and Health Education’ has been scheduled at 10 am at the Department of Physical Education itself.
“After a gap of two day, all the 31 students undergoing the BPEd course shall be appearing for paper-IV of `Officiating and Coaching’, followed by the paper-V of Sports Management on September 15,” incharge of the course, Dr Brij Biloria informed.
The revised date sheet for Master of Physical Education (MPEd) has also been issued by the JU. As per the date sheet, the examinations in five different subjects are to start from September eight and will conclude on September 22. In all, 23 students shall appear for MPEd previous examinations.
Meanwhile, the admission process for the BPEd course 2008-09 session and MPEd session 2008-10 shall start from September eight and September 22 respectively.
“The brochure-cum-application forms for BPEd course can be had from Department of Physical Education, JU on a cash payment of Rs 500 upto September 17,” said Director Physical Education, Prof Lokesh Verma.
For BPEd course candidates, those who are physically fit and have passed three-year bachelor degree of 10+2+3 pattern from JU or other recognized university besides having participated in inter-college/inter-university or any other national level competition in any game, may apply for the bachelor degree, informed Dr Brij Biloria. |
