Accusing the Congress, the PDP and the BJP for exploiting the religious sentiments of the people of the state for the sake of vote bank, senior National Conference leader Surjit Singh Salathia appreciated the positive role of the party Patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah in the SASB land row.
Holding both Congress and PDP responsible for the prolonged agitation on land issue, the NC leader said that people of state have understood the evil designs of these parties and maintained that they can not befool the people any longer.
Addressing public meeting at Gurha More in Vijaypur today, Salathia asked the rank and file of the party to get ready for the elections. He called upon the party functionaries to fan out in their respective areas and take the party’s policies and programmes to the grass root workers.
On this occasion several PDP, BSP and BJP workers are reported to have joined the NC. |
