Samba police held two smugglers and recovered four quintals bhuki from their possession here at Mansar today.Samba police led by incharge police post Mansar Sanjeev Chib under the supervision of SDPO Ram Singh Charak on tip off laid a naka at Mansar Morh and during checking intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB03,1138 laden with the boxes of apples.Police during checking of a truck recovered four quintals of the bhuki from the boxes besides arrested two smugglers.They have been identified as Jaswinder Singh,driver of a truck, s/o Manmohan Singh and Tilak Singh, conductor of a truck, s/o Banta Singh both residents of Kapurthala.During their interrogation they told police that the bhuki was being smuggled from Anantnag and was taken to Punjab. Police has registered a case against them under the NDPS act and interrogating them to elicit more information. |
