A seminar on peace and communal harmony was organized by the retires officers forum here today, under the chairmanship of forum’s president Dr. J.K. Sharma The Chief Guest on the occasion was president Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangrash Samiti (SAYSS) Lele Karan Sharma, while Father Joseph, Dr. Jatinder Singh, B.S salathia and Sohail Kazmi were the special invitee. The general consensus of the seminar was to always maintain peace, communal harmony, brotherhood to strengthen nationalistic forces and seek resolution of all problems under the constitution of the country. The SAYSS has laid roadmap to solve other problems with a sense of sacrifice, fortitude and resolution. Leela Karan Sharma along with his teammates who successfully lead two months long historic and non- political agitation to restore 800 kanals of land at Baltal to be utilized for crating facilities for Amarnath Yatris by Shri Amarnath Yatra Shrines Broad As per press release the leadership of SAYSS has done a yeoman’s service in unifying the people of Jammu region irrespective of their caste, creed and political affiliation to fight for their fundamental right of the religious freedom. Tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives. The participants in the seminar lauded the oneness exhibited by Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Christians for a just cause and peaceful resolution of land row. |
