| BSF chopper makes emergency landing | | | Jammu, Sept 8 A BSF helicopter carrying two top officials made an emergency landing soon after take off due to a technical snag in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district today.
The chopper was carrying two senior officers, R L Sharma, DIG, BSF Sunderbani sector, and K K Fauzdar, commandant 59 battalion of BSF The three-seater chopper developed a technical snag after it took off from Terriyath to Pouni at 1500 hours, he said adding it made an emegency landing in the fields at Bared village.
The roters of the helicopter were damaged as they were hit by trees while landing, he said.
Both the BSF officers and the pilot are safe. The two officers had boarded the helicopter at Sunderbani to visit formations in the sector, the spokesman said.
