| Mangat appeals Guv to withdraw cases against protestors | | | Early Times Reporter

Former Minister and Congress leader Mangat Ram Sharma has appealed to the Governor to withdraw the cases registered against the protestors during the agitation over Shri Amarnath land row in Jammu.
In a statement Sharma said that keeping in view religious sentiments and emotisn attached to the issue of unrest and agitation in Jammu region and and ensure lasting peace and normalcy in the region following amicable settlement of the issue, it is imperative that broader and lenient view is taken with regard to the cases registered by the police in connection with and during the agitation. He hoped that the entire issue would be taken in right perspective and in the larger interest by the administration to resolve any further controversy in this regard after amicable settlement of entire issue. |
