Tension in Latti, SHO beats VDC man

Tension erupted in a remote and picturesque Latti village of Udhampur after a Police officer mercilessly beat up a member of the Village Defence Committee.
A VDC member who is resident of village Chapper Latti alleged that he was beaten by SHO Latti without any reason. VDC member alleged that he was beaten by SHO when he approached him to deposit his gun as he was going out of village for few days .
Meanwhile Injured VDC member identified as Narinder Paul son of Pikhu Ram was admitted to district hospital Udhampur residents of the area .Other VDC members today demanded inquiry into the incident.
Meanwhile a deputation of Latti villagers today met with DIG Udhampur Reasi range in this regard and demanded inquiry into the incident . Taking seriousness of the incident DIG ordered inquiry headed by Dysp Jangral and directed him to submit report with in week’s time.
