| Ramban deputation call on Governor | | | Early Times Reporter

A deputation from Ramban, led by Bharat Gandhi former MLA, called on Governor N N Vohra at Chanderkote during the latter’s visit to the Baghliar project and stressed the need for speeding up developmental works in the district. He also sought speeding up work on the construction of degree college building.
He complained that a number of water supply schemes in the district have become defunct due to the shortage of staff and demanded that the required staff be provided to man these schemes.
Gandhi urged the Governor to start such trades in ITI College in the district as are required in power projects to be taken up in Chenab basin.
The deputation strongly demanded grant of tehsil status to Batote, besides opening of ITI College and Kendriya Vidayala there. |
