With India's crude oil import price dropping below USD 100 a barrel, the Congress today said it would welcome any move to reduce the oil prices.
"If the government reduces the price, we will welcome it," said Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed.
He, however, sidestepped querries on whether Congress would ask the government to review the price in view of the elections.
"As far as I know, if the crude oil price comes below 66 (USD) a barrel, only then the prices could be revised," Ahmed said. |
