AJKYF demands uniform fee for JKSSB vacancies, common syllabus for graduate level posts
1/7/2021 11:45:37 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

RAMBAN, Jan 7: All J&K Youth Federation ( AJKYF ) expressed concern over looting of JKSSB aspirants in the name of advertisements time and again and questioned UT administration for charging of unlike fee from the aspirants for the same post and dissimilar syllabus for the same qualification in advertised posts.
Muzaffar Malik, district convenor, AJKYF said that the recruitment drive has many faults because of which aspirants are annoyed and angry which includes the advertisement of the same posts in different notifications, unlike fee and different syllabus for all the posts having same eligibility, uncertainty in matters of conducting examination and their results, uncertain examination schedule and many others.
He further added that JKSSB should follow the pattern of SSC where candidates are required to fill only one form and to prepare a single syllabus for all posts having same eligibility criteria.
JKSSB should also frame an examination calendar which should be issued atleast 3 months prior to the conduct of examination which will help candidates to prepare constantly without the fear of any uncertainty. Otherwise candidates in J&K usually go through uncertainty in matters of Syllabus, conducting examination and their results. Imran Farhat, district executive member accused recruiting agencies of Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for mismanagement of the examinations. There has been three recent advertisement notices by JKSSB wherein various departments had referred the same posts with same grade pay and selection procedure but still the aspirants are forced to fill separate forms with separate fee for each and every post.
Even few years back the aspirants filled two different forms of different departments but the advertisement notice was same and they had to pay fee differently for the advertised forms and ultimately single admit card was issued for both the advertised posts. Likewise in the recent advertisement notices, an aspirant who hardly earned any money was called to deposit fee differently.
The Federation urged upon the Central Government in general and the UT administration of J&K in particular to save the aspirations and future of the educated unemployed youth by providing them reasonable relief by changing the fee structure as well as common syllabus for all advertisement posts and further requests the LG Administration and JKSSB Chairman to advertise all the vacant posts in one or two notifications adopting the procedure of central agencies.
