| Jammu boy named Indian captain for T-20 series | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 10
Young cricketer from Jammu, Madan Mohan has been appointed skipper of the national team heading for Nepal to take part in the Twenty-20 tri-series (nine a side) cricket tournament to be held at Kathmandu from September 13 to September 16. It has been reliably learnt that Madan Mohan will be leading the 16-member Indian team in senior category. Besides India, two other participating teams are from Nepal. Five other cricketers, part of the squad, also belong to Jammu and Kashmir. They are Munish Chib, Amit Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma, Sunil Chopra and Sunil Sharma. Two junior cricketers, Rawat Singha and Sandeep Saini of Jammu have also been named in the under-19 team taking part in the tri-series tournament, reports reaching here said. Selection of these cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir has been made on the basis of their performance in the Twenty-20 National Cricket tournament held at Dehradun in June. The tournament is being organized by the Super Cricket Association of India in association with Hongkong based Asian Super Cricket Association. |
