DPS Udhampur organizes cyclothon 2021

UDHAMPUR, Jan 12: DPS Udhampur organised the DPS cyclothon 2021 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's 158th birth anniversary 12th January 2021, when the whole nation is celebrating National Youth Day, we as a part of DPS Udhampur have taken the initiative to organise the cyclothon 2021 in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Department Udhampur.
Cyclothon, 2021 was of 8 km long cycle ride by the Students and Alumni of the school as well as local cycle clubs. DPS Udhampur has been organizing various sports events and even this pandemic year could not stop the school from organizing Sports events even virtually like the National Yoga day, Fit India Week wherein all the students and teachers were involved in various activities like aerobics, squat challenges, push up challenges etc. keeping the legacy of organizing the fitness occasion, this idiosyncrating event was born in our minds.
The program began with the auspicious lighting of Ceremonial Torch . The dignitaries present for the occasion were The DDC Udhampur Puran Chand Sharma, The Pro vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta , District Youth Services sports Officer Swaran Singh along with M.D of the School Mr. Vivek Gupta and Worthy Principal Dr. Kunal Anand .
The main highlight of this program was Cyclothon along with Lohri celebration in the school. All the dignitaries enjoyed the program and appreciated the efforts of the School Management and Stake holders for such an organized program .
The Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand wished all the staff members Happy Lohri and urged them to be safe at home. Over all it was a successful event
