Under Asian Development Bank funding, the Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA), is executing 44 developmental projects at a cost of Rs. 578 crore in Kashmir division, while as execution of Rs. 21.5 crore Habdipora-Qadar-Qaimoh road and Rs. 13.5 crore Sharda-Kamalkote-Uri road have been tendered by the ERA. It was given out at a high level meeting of officers here on Thursday presided over by the Advisor to Governor, C. Phunsog. Financial Commissioner Planning and Development S.L. Bhat, Principal Secretary/CEO ERA Pankaj Jain, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Masud Samoon, Director General Finance ERA B.L.Mattoo, Directors ERA Kashmir and Jammu and Project Managers Transport Kashmir and Jammu divisions were among others who attended the meeting. Speaking in the meeting, Phunsog exhorted upon functionaries to work with zeal and ensure timely completion of all ongoing developmental projects. He instructed that bottlenecks, if any, coming across in speedy execution of the projects should be removed with coordinated efforts by executive agency and line departments. He also stressed on close monitoring of the projects by the various heads of the agency. He cautioned that delay in the execution of projects would tell upon the process of providing speedy benefits of the projects to the people. |
