Lamdon Senior Secondary School celebrates Parents day

The Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh. Chering Dorje appreciated the private schools of Leh for giving quality education to the 50 percent children of Ladakh, as such both the prevailing education system going on in Govt. as well as in Private schools needs to be encouraged and strengthened for healthy future of Ladakh.
He was speaking on the Parent’s Day function of Lamdon Senior Secondary School, Leh today. The Executive Councilor Education, Tsering Norbu Lampa, President, Ladakh Buddhist Association, Mr. Lobzang Rinchen, prominent monks and citizens, parents, and many guests attended the parent’s day function of Lamdon school.
Touching 37 years services of Lamdon Social Welfare Society and its school to the people of Ladakh, Mr Dorje said that they have not only propagated the importance of the education in this region, but also educated thousands of children of Ladakh . He said their contribution in eradication of social evils and their helping hands for the down trodden people particularly living in rural areas has been remarkable for the Ladakhi society.
The Principal, Mr Ishey Tondup presented the annual performance of the school. He said that Lamdon School has achieved 99 percent results in the recent matriculation examination. He strongly emphasized upon the parents to give more attention towards education of their children and appealed them to maintain a healthy and constructive The President, Managing Committee Lamdon, Dr. Tsering Phunsog, President, Lamdon Social Welfare Society, Mr. Lobrang Thabkhas, the Founder member, Padmashri Morup Namgyal, Headmaster, Mr. Tsering Wangchuk, Member Parents Committee, Mrs. Sonam Spalzes, Ex. Student, Dr. Dorje Dawa also spoke on the occasion.
To mark the Parent’s Day, the students of Lamdon Model School presented a mind-blowing Cultural programme which was highly appreciated by the jam-packed Auditorium of Lamdon School.
The Chief guest later gave away mementos and certificates to the students who bagged position in the academic performances.
