KVK Jammu organises animal medical camp at Hassarwan

JAMMU, Jan 21: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu today organized an Animal clinical camp under SCSP plan, here at village Hassarwan in Balwal Block.
Dr. SK Gupta, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In his address, Prof S K Gupta appreciated the efforts of KVK Jammu in organizing such camps in the adopted villages and stressed upon proper care and treatment of animals for higher production.
During the camp large no of cattle and small ruminants form Hasarwan, Kullain and adjoining villages were examined, treated, awareness pamphlets on various dairy &poultry schemes and medicines were also distributed free of cost during the camp. Farmers were also sensitized about the installation of Dudaroo App for preparation of balanced feed during the camp.
At the outset Dr Punit Choudhary, Sr. Scientist and Head KVK Jammu welcomed the Chief Guest, team of experts from Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Technology SKUAST-J R S Pura, and Sarpanch, panch and progressive farmers in the camp and requested the farmers of the villages to take maximum advantage from the experts for the field of Veterinary Surgery, Medicine and Gynecology. Dr. Prem Kumar Scientist KVK Jammu coordinated the proceeding of the animal camp and thanked the team of experts for their painstaking efforts.
S Satbir Singh and Poonam Abrol also helped the in the smooth conduct of the camp.
Officers from Animal Husbandry Department Jammu and Agriculture Department Jammu also participated in the camp.
The residents of Hassarwan thanked the team of SKAUST and KVK Jammu and for organizing such useful animal health camp and requested Dr S K Gupta, Director Extension SKUAST-Jammu to conduct more such camps in the area for the benefit of the farming community.
