Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur Surinder Kumar Gupta has called upon the officers and jawans of police to come up to the expectations of the people while serving in their respective jurisdictions with the provision of justice to protect life and property of the people by maintaining good police - public relations. Gupta was addressing a Darbar of police officers and jawans and District Police Lines here on Monday. Addl. S.P. S. Bhupinder Singh, S.P. City nil Magotra, Dy. S.P. (DAR) Bodh Raj and other officers of all ranks and jawans attended the Darbar. The SSP while addressing the Darbar stressed for discipline and dedication to work. He said that since a policeman happens to be the most visible force of the government, he should not indulge in any such things which may spoil the image of police force. He called upon the cops to always uphold the rule of law and never succumb to any pressure. “Be polite and impartial while discharging your duties”, Gupta advised the police officials. Lauding the tireless services rendered by District police Udhampur during recent law and order situation in the district, the SSP said that it was the outcome of their sincere and efficient duties that the area remained by and large peaceful. He asked the police personnel to be dutiful, proficient, honest and accommodative in up keeping the justice. During the Darbar, police jawans put forth their individual problems and demands. The SSP assured them that their genuine grievances would be addressed in a phased manner. Later, Gupta, accompanied by police officers, inspected mess and checked quality of food being served to police jawans. |
