| CA&PD team realize Rs. 5600 fine at Udhampur | | | UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 10 :
According to the Assistant Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Udhampur, the dealership of a ration dealer of village Thill-Roun temporarily attached with another ration of Saitani has been suspended during surprise check of records conducted by Tehsil Supply Officer, Udhampur. The ration dealer had not maintained proper records relating to BPL, AAY and APL categories.
Apart from this the teams of the CA & PD inspected 80 shops today at Udhampur town, Chenani, Kud and Sarmoli an imposed a fine of Rs.5600 to defaulting shopkeepers for not displaying rate lists at prominent places of their establishments besides using domestic gas cylinders at their commercial establishments.
To streamline the public distribution system the department has launched continued drive against ration and kerosene oil dealers and a number of ration and k.oil dealers have been suspended for not maintaining proper records. |
