| JKAACL organizes ‘Hindi Kavi Sammelan’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu | Sept 15
In connection with the celebrations of the Hindi Divas Day, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized a hindi kavi sammelan at K.L Saigal Hall here today. M.K Santoshi noted poet of the state presided over the function ands threw light on the importance of Hindi language in the society. He further said that Hindi plays a great role in the society and the literature as well as in order to make communication and reflect the contemporary scenario of the whole world. He praised and congratulated all the poets/poetess who recited their poems on the occasion. Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary of the academy welcomed the guest and writers fraternity present on the occasion, and brought into light the different activities being taken up by academy for the promotion of art, culture and languages in the state. Hindi has also now become a language of science and technology and in view of the development of Hindi scholars, intellectuals or degree holders only used to be a teacher or lecturer but now Hindi has it very vast field as there are innumerable opportunities for the livelihood in the electronic and print media, she added. Neeru Sharma, Editor Hindi shyeeraza conducted the proceedings of the program and invited the guests for tomorrow’s program. The prominent who recited the poems were Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Chanchal Sharma, Aruna Sharma, M.K Santoshi, Vijaya Thakur and Sarda Sahani. |
