| Zonal level seminar on school management held at Leh | | | Early Times Report Leh | Sept 16
A one-day Zonal level seminar on school management was held here today which was attended by over 200 members of teaching community, including Principals, Headmasters, Lecturers, Teachers, CRPs and ZRPs of Leh and Kharu blocks. The Executive Councilor, Health, Dorje Motup was the chief guest in the seminar. Addressing the seminar, Dorje Motup said that LAHDC would give utmost attention to all the genuine points raised in this seminar and would find solution to the issues by holding meetings at Executive Council level. Recalling LAHDC’s top priority to the education sector, Dorje Motup said need of the hour is to raise the education standard by redoubling the responsibility by the teaching community, education department and the Hill Council. He said that transfer policy of teachers would be made more fair and transparent. An open discussion to highlight the individual’s views and suggestions towards improvement in education standard was also held during the seminar and many teachers put forth positive, constructive and healthy suggestions. Many speakers termed the Mid Day Meal scheme as unwarranted so far Ladakh region was concerned and suggested the need of winding up this scheme in the desert region. |
