National Conference provincial president Ajay Sadhotra has stressed the need of ensuring irrigation water to the farmers as the less rainfall has created desert like situation in Jammu threatening the paddy crops.
He was addressing a public meeting at Shamachack in Marh Assembly Constituency here today.
He reiterated his demand of providing compensation to the daily earners and farmers who have suffered during the turmoil in Jammu. He also demanded six month’s free ration to the families of the daily earners.
Th. Baldev Singh, Block President, Chander Mohan Sharma, District President Jammu URBAN, Raghubir Singh, Vijay Lochan, Vinod Bhalla, Rajinder Singh, Kasturi Lal, Balwant Singh and Shyam Mehra also spoke on the occasion.
On the occasion, some prominent persons from the area joined the National Conference. They include Manohar Singh, Hardev Singh, Capt. Puran Singh, Vicky Manhas and Sohan Lal. |
