Perfect budget, keeps health-defence on top priority: Raman Suri
2/2/2021 10:13:27 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 2: "Ladakh region of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state was always meted out with step-motherly treatment, leaving thousands of students to look for better studies outside their hometown.
Today, when a central university has been sanctioned for the cold desert, it's a big achievement, which must also be followed by setting up more colleges and institutions to bring education at doorstep of the people of Ladakh".
This was stated by BJP J&K executive member Raman Suri, who said that the Budget 2021 is perfect and balanced, wherein defence and health sectors have been given top priority and huge funds have been allocated to these two sectors in order to keep the people safe and secure in terms of health and from the enemy. Rs 64,180 crores allocation for New Health Schemes and Rs 4,35,000 crores allocated for COVID-19 Vaccine are matchless and on expected lines.
The BJP-led government has not disappointed the people and stood by its words of developing and providing vaccine as soon as possible, for which huge amount of money has been allocated. Another big achievement is increasing FDI from 49% to 74% in insurance sector, which means that a competitive spirit will enhance insurance awareness amongst masses and simultaneously the cost of taking insurance will also come down to an affordable level.
Raman Suri said, asking senior citizens of 75 years and above to not file ITR if they are only dependent upon pension income and interest income, is a big achievement that will help senior citizens in a big way. Above all, the government has, for the first time in the history of Budget, not printed it and has come out with digital copies, thereby reducing the financial burden on exchequer as well as saving the environment.
Those apprehending levying of heavy taxes due to pandemic have also been proved wrong. He said that BJP government is committed to make India a self-reliant country, so each and every step that is being initiated is making this happen in true sense.
Massive infrastructure development including roads, bridges, railway lines, airports, reduced duties on various textile, chemicals and other products, falling prices of gold and silver and no changes in the overall income tax slab rates are all aimed at making India self-reliant, prosperous and a favourite destination of all mega companies of the world., Raman Suri asserted.
