| Rape victim demands CBI probe | | | Early Times Report Jammu | Sept 16
Accusing police highhandedness to help the culprits to evade their arrest by hushing up the facts of the case, a rape victim here today has demanded CBI inquiry in her case. Addressing a press conference here today the rape victim Aarti (name changed) has alleged that police has adopted a delaying approach in the case filed against the guilty against FIR No. 9 u/s 376/420/315/120-B/109 RPC at Police Station Gangyal. Narrating her apathetic tale she said that during the investigation the then SHO Gangyal asked her to grease his palm if she meant to make the case strong and in her favour but failing to which the concerned police authorities did not pay right attention to her case. Giving details of the case, the victim said she said after being raped she was taken to one Vini Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Janipura, Jammu where two medicos namely Dr Brij Mohan Dutt and Dr Anil Dutt both had raped her after drugging her. She alleged that the medicos at this Diagnostic Centre Janipur including a lady doctor had been released on anticipatory bails and since then but the police yet have not affected the arrests even in the absence of the proper bail in favour of the culprits. 'Now I have lost faith in police the investigating agency and urge state administration case to be probed by the CBI, she said. |
