| 2 militants, solider killed in Kashmir encounters | | | Early Times Report

Two militants and a solider were killed in two separate encounters at Eagle Sector Budwan Karnah and at Sona Pindi Gali Lashdat, since last 24 hours.
Informed sources told that on specific information about the presence of militants, troops of 7- Para along with the local police launched search operation near LoC at Sona Pindi Gali Lashdat falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kupwara. An encounter followed during which an army Jawan Jagannath Mandal got injured, who later succumbed to his injuries. The operation was going on till last reports came in
Meanwhile in another encounter at Eagle Sector Budwan Karnah between the troops of 16-Bihar and militants, two militants were killed and security forces recovered two AK 7 rifles, ten AK 47 magazines, 207 rounds of AK ammunition, four hand grenades, one compass, one GPS, one radio set and 10000 rupees of Indian currency. |
