JAMMU, Feb 4: Government Degree College (GDC) Sidhra, in collaboration with District Employment and Counselling Centre, Jammu organized a webinar on "E-Counselling Programme" under MANODARPAN, focusing on the topic "Vocational Courses Offered by NCS for SC/ST students: Detailed Admission Process, Registration and Benefits". The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal Prof (Dr) Monika Sharma and Deputy Director DECC, Jammu Dr Manisha Koul.
The webinar was inaugurated with the welcome address by Prof Deepa Kak, Assistant Professor, Education.
The spokesperson for the webinar was Shahbaaz Chaudhary, Sub-Regional Employment Officer, NCS Office for SC/ST. He delivered detailed and immensely valuable information related to the future of SC/ST students. His lecture focused on the eligibility, registration, admission process, scholarships, benefits and scope of various vocational courses (related to computers and stenography) offered by NCS for these students.
During the session the spokesperson had a vigorous and energetic interaction with the students and he answered all their queries related to the topic. Prof Mussarat Chowdhary, Assistant Professor, Economics also shared her valuable experiences related to the theme.
The programme was coordinated by Dr Punam Rani, Coordinator, Career Counselling Cell of the college. Finally, the session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Mussarat Chowdhary. |
