Dharmarth Trust employees meet Commissioner Secy GAD

JAMMU, Feb 3: Protesting Dharmarth Trust employees sought intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Holding banners and placards in their hands, the employees gathered at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and staged a strong demonstration.
As the protest entered the 66th day and chain hunger strike at 38th day, hundreds of employees, including women and children, continued their ‘dharna’ at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and raised slogans against the J&K Government and Dharmarth Trust management.
Employees are demanding Shrine Board and CBI enquiry of land scandals by taking under hand deal by the persons having control on Dharmarth Trust for the last 60 years.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today included Pt Jeevan Lal, Makhan Lal, Sagar Singh, Pritam Chand, Ashok Kumar, Tilk Raj, Om Prakash, Bhikham Chand, Asha Devi and Savita. Dharmarth Trust Employees Association write a letter new President of Dharmarth Trust Ajay Gandotra that the employees will only meet for negotiations if management fulfill the demand of shrine board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust and also CBI enquiry for all scandals and miss deeds done by the persons having control on Dharmarth Trust for the last 60 years.
A deputation of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association also met Commissioner GAD Manoj Diwadi and handed over a memorandum in which they requested to merge all the temples under Dharmarth Trust with SMVDSB so that Dogra heritage and its properties can fully pro tect and save.
Chief Spokesperson, Th Karnail Chand urged the enquiry agency to keep vigilance on trust management who lift important records of trust and shift other places.
