Early Times Report Jammu | Sept 17 The government has withdrawn criminal cases against the agitators, who were peacefully protesting to restore land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. This follows the agreement reached between the Governor's panel and the SAYSS last month ending two month’s agitation on the Amarnath Shrine land row. A dynamic and young worker of the Sangarsh Samiti of district Kathua Daleep Kumar, s/o Raj Kumar r/o Village Martha district Kathua, who was arrested under Public Safety Act (PSA), was lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail for almost a month and was released today. On his release he was welcomed by the senior members of the Sangarsh Samiti including K .K. Parocah, Surinder Bajaj, District Convenor, SAYSS, Kathua, Yudhvir Sethi, State Secretary BJP , Shashi Pal Sharma, Convenor SAYSS, Kathua City, Prithi Pal Singh, Convenor, SAYSS Block Barnoti, Vijay Pahalwan, Harbans lal Pangotra. Speaking after his release, Daleep Kumar reiterated that whenever there is any call from the Sangarsh Samiti in future also he will be the first to agitate in Kathua for the cause of Jammu. Sangarsh Samiti has announced that it will honour the families of all the martyrs of this agitation at a function being held at Abhinav Theatre here on September 20. |
