At the end of the two-day Jammu District Judo Championship, Regional Coaching Centre (RCC) Jammu and SOS School judokas emerged the front runners in the medals tally at Indoor Complex of M A Stadium, here.
Also figured in the medals tally were judokas from JK Public School, Shastri Memorial School (SMS) and Kendriya Vidyalayas.
Senior PDP leader and president Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA), Rangil Singh was chief guest in the finals and prize distribution function. General secretary of JKOA, Ashutosh Sharma was guest of honour. Among others present were Ramesh Mahajan, Dr Nirmolak Singh, R C Thakur, Rajan Sharma and Principal of SOS School, Mohammad Ayub.
The championship was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association under the supervision of Vikas Gupta. Competitions were supervised by coaches of the J&K State Sports Council in association with Rohit Gupta and Varinder Dogra.

GIRLS: Under-14 year: 35 kg: Yashika Jamwal, KV Nagrota, Ist; Charvi Uppal, SOS School, 2nd and Mehvish, SOS School, third. 40 kg: Kavita Sharma, SMS, Ist; Apurva Ahuja, SOS, 2nd. 45 kg: Maryam Ayub, SOS, Ist and Ishma Wazir, SOS, 2nd. Open Weight: Supriya Pandita, SOS, Ist; Shehjaz Sapori, SOS, 2nd; Sugandi Koul, SOS, third.
BOYS: Under-14 year: Vishwa Sharma, RCC, Ist; Kartik Sharma (SMS), 2nd; Sarbjeet Singh (SOS) and Ragun Bajwa (JK Public), joint third. 40 kg: Vasu Mahajan (JK Public), Ist; Arun Sharma (JK Public), 2nd; Anup Sharma (SMS) and Mohd Fayaz (RCC), joint third. 50 kg: Ashutosh Khajuria (RCC), Ist; Seeyam Ahm (JK Public), 2nd and Vipul Koul (SOS), third. Open weight: Arunesh Sareen (RCC), Ist; Zakir Hussain (JK Public), 2nd; Shubanker Baru (Nagbani) and Akshay Bhat (SOS), joint third.
BOYS Under-17 year: 45 kg: Danish Sharma (RCC), Ist; Arunesh Sharma (RCC), 2nd; Akhil (SMS) and Pankaj (SMS), joint third. 50 kg: Parveen (SMS), Ist; Vishesh Saraf (SOS), 2nd; Karandeep (RCC) and Vishal Singh (SOS), joint third. 55 kg: Shuvam Sharma (RCC), Ist; Prince Chowdhary (JK Public), 2nd.
