| MIET holds induction for MBA students | | | Early Times Report

The Postgraduate Department of Management Studies at Model Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET), the first ISO 9001:2000 certified engineering institution in the State, today organized an induction program for its incoming batch of students. Dr. Arun K. Gupta, Chairman, MIER Group of Institutions graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Dr. Renu Gupta, Director, MIER presided over the function. Prof. S. K.Sharma, Principal, MIET was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. S. Sapru, Registrar, MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta Joint Director, MIER and Prof. Ankur Gupta Joint Director, MIET.
Dr. Arun K. Gupta in his welcome address thanked the incoming batch of students for choosing MIET for their professional and personal growth and welcomed them to the MIET family. He expressed satisfaction on the progress made by MIET under the leadership of Prof. S.K Sharma, principal MIET and described the faculty of the Dept. of Management Studies as being highly qualified, competent and motivated. He exhorted on the students to work hard and imbibe the Four C’s – commitment, capacity, competence and confidence, which would help them in achieving success in the corporate world.
Director, MIER Dr. Renu Gupta, while welcoming the students described management as an amalgamation of science and art and asked the students to use their creativity and think “out of the box” while implementing the various management paradigms learnt during the course of study. She stressed on the three F’s for success as managers in the making – Focus, Fortitude and Foresightedness. |
