2/12/2021 11:07:14 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 12: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today while conducting public meeting at Village Nikowal Block Pargwal in Chamb Assembly criticized BJP government at centre for failing to listen to crores of agitating farmers in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, former DyCM Tara Chand said three farm laws have been imposed on farmers to benefit the corporate sector. These laws will ruin the agriculture sector.
The Modi government should withdraw the laws in favour of farmers of the country. He lashed out at the ruling BJP Government for failing to resolve farmers grievances on three central agriculture laws. Accusing the government of neglecting the farmers, Tara Chand said that the government is trying to benefit 2-3 of its friends by conspiring against the farmers. Government isn't just neglecting them, it's conspiring to destroy them. Congress fully supports the agitation of farmers for repeal of three black laws immediately, he added. Tara Chand referred to the massive hike in the price of petrol and diesel which is highest in last 73 years. He said that Modi Govt has earned more than 19 lakh crores in six years out of tax on petrol and diesel.
He said for a good future in J&K, the elected government must be in place. He said that the people have a sense of alienation in J&K and it is high time for the Govt to take a decision for the welfare of the people of J&K as a whole who have always stood like rock for national interest. He exhorted the party worker's to remain steadfast in their resolve of serving people and strengthening bonds of inclusiveness.
Others who attended the meeting include Daljeet Singh Manhas, Block President Pargwal, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Block President Samwah, Kali Dass Block President Balwal Brahmana, Bharat Priye (Mangu) and others.
