| 65,38,111 to vote at 9113 stations | | | Early Times Report Srinagar | Sept 18 The arrangements for the forthcoming general election to the J&K Legislative Assembly were reviewed at a meeting of District Election Officers of Kashmir Valley, chaired by Chief Electoral Officer, B.R. Sharma. Measures put in place for smooth conduct of free and fair elections were discussed threadbare and the meeting took stock of verification and continuous updating of electoral rolls and the steps to be taken for sending election material, EVMs and manpower to far off places. The meeting was informed that for 65,38,111voters across the state 9113 polling stations will be set up for polling purpose. Sharma expressed satisfaction over the arrangements being made by concerned DEOs and their staff. |
