Exhorting all the Civil and Police officers to come up to the expectations of the people, Principal Secretary Home, Anil Goswami directed them to create a people friendly environment for redressal of their problems. He directed them to make themselves easily available to people and solve their every problem at their door steps.
He was speaking at a high level meeting of Civil and Police officers here today which was among others attended by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sudhanshu Pandey, IGP Jammu Zone, K.Rajendra Kumar, DIG Jammu-Kathua Range, A.Q Manhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Mandeep Bhandari, SSP Jammu, Sr. Manohar Singh and SSP PCR, Shakeel.A. Baig.
A thread bear discussion was held regarding preparedness of the administration to celebrate forthcoming festivals like Eid, Navratra and Dushera and the arrangements to be made for the Darbar move and the forthcoming Assembly elections if announced at this juncture.
The agreement signed between the government and Shri Amar Nath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SAYSS) also came up for discussion .After going through all aspects of the agreement, Goswami gave necessary directions to the concerned.
Presenting over all security scenario in the region, the IGP elaborated the measures taken by the security forces to check and plug the infiltration from across the border .Anti militancy operations launched by the police were also discussed in the meeting and important directions were given by the Principal Secretary.
Preparedness for the forthcoming Assembly election, if announced, was also deliberated in the meeting and requirement of additional security and other allied matters were detailed.
Goswami directed the officers to make elaborate arrangements to celebrate the forth coming festivals. He also directed to take necessary steps for maintaining law and order in the situation. He said no body should be allowed to vitiate the atmosphere at any cost. He assured all type of help from the government.
