| J&K SERC issues Tariff order | | | Early Times Report

The J&K State Electricity Regularity Commission (SERC) has issued the Tariff Order for the financial year 2008-09 under which there has no major changes in the consumer categories, as it has been kept at last year’s level
To promote the use of solar power for heating purpose, the Commission has introduced rebate for those who have installed such solar appliances. LT Commercial and industrial consumers who use less electricity to run their business on seasonal basis have been provided relief by replacing the minimum charges by a nominal fixed charge with reduced energy rates. Grievances of the consumers regarding irregular power supply have also been addressed by providing relief in the minimum/ demand charges.
Secretary, J&K State Electricity Regularity Commission D. S. Tara asked that interested persons may visit the Commission’s website – www.jkserc.nic.in for detailed Tariff Order. Hard copies of Tariff Order shall be available for sale w.e.f. 23-9-2008. |
