| 2 Drug peddlers arrested by ANTF | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 15: Acting tough against the drug peddlers, today on an information by Anti-Narcotics Task Force a joint party of ANTF and P/S Nowgam arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession at NAKA near new Bye pass. A Sumo vehicle bearing reg no. JK13-7785 in which they were travelling has also been seized. The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Rather resident of Hariparigam Awantipora and Aijaz Ahmad Bhat resident Awantipora. 123 strips of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus were recovered from the possession of arrested persons. Case vide FIR number 07/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Nowgam and further investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood.
Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace. |
