JANDRAH (JAMMU), Feb 15: An eight-day-long winter special camp for creating awareness among students with regard to various government-sponsored schemes commenced at Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah here on Monday. The camp has been organized by the NSS unit of the college. The Tehsildar Dansal, Dhruv Majahan was the chief guest in the inaugural session of the camp, while the Principal of the College, Professor Rajshree Dhar presided over the event. The camp is being conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor, Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma, who is the Programme officer of NSS unit. Speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Mahajan described the camp as a good initiative to create awareness among students, saying it would help in disseminating valuable information with regard to various government schemes among the local people. The Principal, Professor Rajshree Dhar congratulated the NSS unit of the college for holding such a meaningful camp and said such programmes help students keep abreast of present policies of the government.
