Nagrota people asked to fight injustice

Jammu, Sept 19: Advocate & senior politician B.S. Manhas along with members of Jammu Kisan council visited at village Marh in Nagrota constituency to take stock of the situation emerged after the vast devastation due to high intensity of wind strom followed by hail-strom on 5-9-08.
The farmers of the adjoining villages were gathered at Marh to give the preliminary feedback of the damage occurred.
While speaking in the meeting, the farmers of the area stated that standing crops like maize and pulses has been ruined completely. Being the kandi belt and having no resources of water irrigation they can’t sow anything in the fields. They also raised the issues of losses occurred for mango fruit during the two month long agitation. The non-availability of the transportation facility resulted to falling of perishable fruit as rotten and wastage.
