| One stabbed in broad day light | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 19: One person was stabbed here at Phaliyan Mandal area under the jurisdiction of Satwari Police station here today. Janak Singh a government teacher was stabbed by two persons when he was going to the field. He was rushed to GMC hospital where doctors sensing his condition critical referred him to Amritsar hospital. In his police statement he said that he was going to his field during morning hours when he was halted by two persons identified as Karan Singh s/o Kutti Ram and Veer Singh s/o Sansar Singh both residents of village Prambli and they attacked on him with sharp edged weapons, he said both escaped from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood and it was only after some locals spotted him and rushed him to GMC hospital. Talking to reporters doctors who were operating him said, “he has received some grievous injuries on his body and we are referring him to Amritsar hospital”. Land dispute is stated to be the reason behind the incident. Police has registered a case in this regard and has started conducting raids to nab the culprits. |
