| VKIM holds event for youth | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 21: The Youth Committee of Vichar Kranti International Manch today organized a special proramme for youth under the Chairman ship of Mahesh Padha at Aggarwal Dahram Sabha near Vivekanand Chowk
R R Khajuria, a prominent citizen was the chief guest while DIG (Retd) Ramesh Koul was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In his welcome address, Mahesh Padha elaborated upon the need of organizing such kind of programmes. He said that the youth of the state has to play an important role in spreading awareness among the different sections of society for its betterment. He surged the youth community to come forward and acquire knowledge on all levels to dispel the myths. He also sought their cooperation in nation building and extended them full support from the side of March.
On the occasion Ch. Shamsher Singh (Sanatan Daharam) President, Anil Sharma, Pappa, Rajesh Gupta, Rajesh Gandhi, Devinder and Ashok Gupta besides four ladies Sneh Sahrma, Arun Bakshi, Swarna Devi, Lakshmi Sharma and a media person Sunny Sangral (JK Channel) were honoured forlanding contributions during the Amarnath land struggle the felicitation was followed by speeches of eminent citizens that included Professor Zahurudin, Satpal Sharma, Daya Sagar Sharma, Professor Rita, Jitender and Ruchi Mir, All the speakers exhorted upon the youth to work in unison for betterment of the society. The also emphasized on the need of orientation of young generation.
Earlier the programme began with recitation of National song by Miss. Manvi, a 10th standard student, Miss Rupali Sharma delivered a speech in Dogri on “ Introduction of Dogri as compulsory subject in academics, whereas Miss Shivali Rajupur presented speech on “ Social Evil of Dowry System”. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Sunita Padha. |
