JAMMU, Sept 21: For the North Zone Championship, the Badminton Association of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the state contingent. The championship is slated to be held at Jallandhar in Punjab from September 28 to September 30.
The Association named teams of junior and senior groups in both men and women sections. “The selected teams have already started their preparations in a week-long camp underway at Indoor Complex of M A Stadium. The camp sanctioned by the State Sports Council is being supervised by the badminton coach, Lalita Sharma,” general secretary of the Association, Dr O D Sharma told SAN.
The teams: Men: Rahul Sharma, Avnish Sharma, Vikram Saini, Vipul Saini and Gagandeep. Junior boys: Naresh, Maninder, B S Shabam and Aman. Women and Junior girls: Diksha, Bandana, Aakanksha, Sulakhni, Manisha and Prabhjot Kour. Officials: Pt. Durga Dass and Balbir Jamwal. |
