| Leela for probe in sabotage | | It is Hitler rule, says Mahant | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 21: The Convener of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti Leela Karan Sharma today lashed out at the state administration and Police for allegedly sabotaging the function to honour martyrs. He demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident.
Addressing a press conference here late this afternoon, Leela Karan said though the call for Jammu bandh was peaceful and not even single person held protest demonstration against the authorities on the streets but still police men showing their atrocities arrested twenty persons from different areas of the Jammu district which including five Corporators of different areas.
He said though a few matadors and shops were opened in the city but they will be shut tomorrow as no Jammuites remain calm over the administration atrocities .He said that he gave several calls to the DC Jammu and SSP Jammu to know the reason as to why innocent people were being arrested from their houses but they had no word to say anything. He said that he is layer by profession and those who so ever responsible for this will have to answer before the Hon'ble court.
Earlier Mahant Rameshwar in his press conference alleged the Hitlar rule in the state .He said that police fired three rounds on his vehicle intending to kill him but it was the grace of God he escaped unhurt. He said that the land of saints is becoming the bleeding ground of saints by the cruel administration. He said that he was booked under 370 RPC without any reason and those who hoisted the Pakistani flag and sing song of neighbouring countries and are hell bent on India are being given security and honour. |
