| Gen Sharma reviews Jammu situation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 22: Lt Gen Vinay Sharma, GOC Rising Star Corps, arrived here today for an official five days visit. During the stay here, the General will visit various units and also interact with civil dignitaries.
The GOC, Rising Star Corps visit is very significant, especially with mounting reports of terrorists’ concentration across the IB in launch pads waiting to cross over. Owing to these reports, the GOC is likely to have detailed discussions with Senior Commanders and review the measures taken to counter any nefarious designs of the infiltrators, at various Army installations.
GOC interacted with some senior officers at Satwari here today and discussed certain other operational issues. The General is also scheduled to visit the Military Hospital to review the specialized medical facilities available in the military station and explore possibilities of further improving the same. |
