EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 22: Glowing tributes were paid in memory of Shaheed Ravi Kumar on his fifth death anniversary by the villagers of Dub-Sudha near Khanachak, while observing the fifth martyr day of Late soldier. Subhash Shastri of National Mazdoor Conference, who presided over the function describe him a true son of the soil who made supreme sacrifices of his life for defending the frontiers of the country. He along with prominent persons of the village garlanded the statue of Martyr Ravi Kumar. It was on September 21, 2003 that Ravi Kumar attained the martyrdom at village Drass in Kargil due to Pakistan shelling. The function among others was attended by Pandit Dushyant Sharma, Sat Pal Samnotra, Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kocchar, Sham Lal Sharma, Baba Dev Raj, Krishan Lal, Jagdish Kumar, Bachan Lal, Sant Ram Bhagat, Sat Pal and Kans Raj. A satsang was also held in the memory of Shaheed Ravi Kumar which was led by Milkhi Ram. |
