| TDF appeals for delimitation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 22: The president Thatri Development Front (TDF), Kuldeep Kumar Rao appealed to all political party to stress up on the government to give practical shape to the process of delimitation for assembly and parliamentary constituencies of J&K state and hold election there after.
He said the equitable representation is the rule based on justice. The present structure does not cater to the Jammu province in spite of larger area and population have active share in the participation of the democratic process, he said.
He said, National Conference, Congress and PDP has felt that there is flaw in the distribution of seats, but put it to the condition that if they get 2/3 majority then will push forward the process of the delimitation commission. These days there is governor rule as well as elections are to follow hence it is right time for every party to stress upon the government to give practical shape to the process and hold election there after. |
