| Employees constitute federation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 22: Various government employees union leaders today constituted a new front ‘Government Employees Welfare Federation’ with Girdhari Lal Chanda as its convenor to focus the attention of the government towards some of the burning problems of the employees including the implementation of the 6th pay commission recommendations in Jammu and Kashmir. The newly set up Federation in its meeting today vowed to fight against the nefarious designs and vested interests of the some of the employees’ organizations who have been functioning with some political motives and dancing to the tunes of political parties. The meeting decided to hold the employees conference on October 4 to elect the executive body. The Federation, among other things, would fight for implementation of 6th pay commission recommendations, regularization of all daily wagers including adhoc, consolidated and contractual employees, declaring 21 of years as qualified service for full pensionary benefits, uniform rate of HRA, settlement of time bound promotion cases, enhancement of retirement age 60 years and adoption of medi-claim policy for state employees. |
