| NCC camp at Nagrota | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 23: Deputy Director General NCC J&K, Brigadier SK Sharma visited NCC Pre-Thal Sainik Camp- 2008 being held at Nagrota. Nearly 600 boys and girls belonging to all the three regions of the state, Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu, are attending the camp. The camp schedule is in consonance with the aims of the NCC wherein the cadets are put through a tough curriculum comprising yoga, firing, obstacle training, first aid, map reading, tent pitching and living camping accommodation.
Brigadier Sharma while addressing the cadets highlighted various qualities of courage, truthfulness to be developed by the young cadets. He also felicitated the Thal Sainik contingent selected during the camp to represent J&K NCC Directorate at the national level competition at Delhi. |
