Basant appointed member of Khadi and Gram Udyog

JAMMU, Mar 6: Bal Kishen Koul convenor Jammu and Kashmir weaver and artisans congratulated Basant for being appointed member of Khadi and Gram Udyog. He represents the north zone all convenors' of North zone states were present in the felicitation function which was held at Rajghat Delhi on 05/03/2021. While addressing the convenors he said that this community deserves a lot
With every positive step the weavers get encouragement. In order to take this community forward all need to work with dedication and every effort will be made to educate this community that it stands on its own and establishes it identity in the society.
Convenor J&K Bal Krishan Koul accompanied by Rajesh Kumar from Doda also participated in this function. Bal Krishan met Bijoya Bharti national convenor weavers and artisans and Basant. He brought to their notice demands of weavers and artisans of Jammu. He said the demand of establishment of Jammu urban Haat was not met so for and old Haat was not improvised.
The long standing demand of establishing Jammu chapter of weavers service center was not met so for. Jammu weavers and artisans are lagging behind and little attention is paid to their issues. In response Bijoy Bharti asserted that they would try their best to get these issues resolved and informed him that they would be paying a visit to Jammu and meet the weavers and artisans there.
He assured all help to promote interests of weavers and artisans of Jammu. He disclosed that he along with Basant will conduct a awareness programme about the scheme khadi and gram udyog has for weavers and artisans.
