Two day long J&K UT Junior/Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) Wrestling C'ship concludes

JAMMU, Mar 7: Two Day Long J&K UT Junior/Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) Wrestling Championship concluded toady on 07th of March 2021 at Jammu University Wrestling Hall under the banner of Wrestling Association of J&K ( an affiliated unit with Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association).
Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council was the Chief Guest, who gave away the medals to the winner and runners-up wrestlers. He complimented the Wrestling Association of J&K for holding the competition amidst Covid-19 Pandemic situation while encouraging women in the power game. Speaking to the gathering, chief guest . Nuzhat Gul, congratulated the wrestlers for close bouts and asked that she is always available for every sportspersons
President of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA), Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma, who was guest of honour, lauded the efforts of Wrestling Association of J&K.
Dushyant Sharma-SSP, Former International Wrestler also gave a brief note of the two-days event and thanked the chief guest for encouragement. He also appreciated the initiative taken by Hon'ble LG for improving infrastructure and hoped that J&K may also improve in terms of coaches and equipment.
He informed that around 160 wrestlers from various districts of J&K UT Jammu, Srinagar, Kathua, Samba, Reasi, Doda, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Udhampur took part in this championship. And, now the talented wrestlers of J&K teams will take part in the forthcoming Junior/Sub-Junior National Championship at Banglore (Karnatka) Noida (UP), and Chandigarh.
