| At 10, this aspiring Cardiologist kid is one among 3 lakh dancers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 23: A wrist injury while performance may have lessened his prospects of shaking the Boogie Woogie floor, but master Adhaar Kaul –a little son of Jammu –is not less than any wonder kid. By any means, Adhaar is one of 42 best dancers of his age selected out of more than three lakh contestants for India’s top dance competition on small screen.
Adhaar, 10, created history of sorts when he reached in the semi-finals of “Boogie Woogie international dance show on Sony TV, hosted by the legends Javed Jaffrey, Naveed Jaffrey and Ravi Behl. He got all kind of praises from the judges.
“I was selected in Boogie Woogie international dance show through an audition which was held at Ludhiana. To be shortlisted itself was an achievement. I remained in Bombay (Mumbai) for three months along, with my parents who supported me and performed in six episodes and could not perform in finals because of some accident. My mother Dr. Bhavna designed the dresses for me who also remained my inspiration”, Adhaar told EARLY TIMES here today.
The wonder kid leaves you amused when asked about his fall in the dancing passion. “I was one year old, when heard the music of an instrument known as Tumbaknari in Kashmiri and started dancing on my own and my parents, grandfather all got stunt on my performance. I started learning dancing from friends dancing institute and worked very hard. My first passion is dancing”
Adhaar aspires to become a Cardiologist though he wants dancing to stay with him for the life as a passion.
This Jammu kid’s shortlisting to the Boogie Woogie in August this year was not a small achievement. The total number of children who had appeared for this audition all over India were about 3 lakhs and the total numbers of children shortlisted and selected were about 42.
It was Bhavna, Adhaar’s mother who learnt first about his Boogie Woogie selection.
As required by the dance show, Adhaar was taken to Mumbai for further performance.
On reaching Bombay and settling down, Aadhar reported on the appointed day at the studio of Boogie Woogie which was at Andheri.
His first experiences on seeing the Boogie Woogie studio was of exhilaration as he was seeing something actually and in front of him through his eyes which he had till then only seen virtually on TV.
Aadhar was called for the Technical this is where all the equipment and lightening and stage setting are done according to the performer Aadhar then humbly stepped forward on to the stage and took permission mentally and asked it to bless him and as he was to perform on it. He also took a resolve that he would give his best and leave the rest to God.
The first song that Aadhar had to perform on was he gave a good technical as all the other participant and the technical people appreciated his dance. The shooting continued from 8 in the morning till 10.30 in the night.
On the actual day of shooting, was to give the final take. Aadhar had to wear his dance dress, which was first approved by the dress designer of Boogie Woogie, this was designed by his mother Dr Bhavna and make up which was done by a team of professionals.
Ravi Bhel and Naveed were hosting the show with other TV personality. Aadhar had to perform in the first episode. His performance was flawless and in perfect synchronous, Ravi Bhel and Naveed were very impressed and they both gave him excellent comments, which included dancing from his heart and with full energy etc.
There were total 7 rounds in the competition and Aadhars made if to the sixth, in all rounds he exhibited a rare sense of talent and this was widely appreciated by all the judges and he got rare reviews which included that he was a perfect actor and should give acting a thought.
In the sixth round had not an unfortunate accident hurt him, while practising stunts for his show he fell down from the chair and hurt himself badly on his hand and wrist this made his moment restricted in the final rounds and he could not make it to the final round.
Aadhar was declared a celebrity for his excellent performances in Boogie Woogie.
Aadhar in his own words said that there were many children who were extremely talented and were excellent and he had to work very hard to match all of them as they came with a variety of steps and dance forms. |
